Dolls
One of the best-known forms of magic is that of working through a doll to represent a person. Dolls are commonly made of wax, cloth, or straw; although they can be made of almost any material. They are not made to look like the person, only as a symbolic representation of the person. Wax dolls are often tossed into a fire and burn to complete the spell. Any doll that you use should be tagged with the name of the person it is to represent, and some item belonging to that person (a piece of clothing, a bit of hair, fingernail clipping, or a photograph) should also be attached to the doll in order to make the spell, hex, etc more effective. Weather the doll is used to gain a person's love, or to destroy an enemy, the person the doll represents should be made aware that the doll is being used and the purpose of the spell being cast.
The hex spell is created for protection from harm or an enemy, and if a curse has been placed on a person it must be un-hexed by employing a powerful witch to transfer the evil spell back onto the enemy or evil spirit. A doll is used to symbolize the person or spirit and is bound with a red cord to represent the life-line. The sorcerer shouts out the hex curse wile pulling the red cord tighter and tighter. Then a pin is stuck into the doll, generally in the region of the liver. The spell is not cast. Although some spells differ from this method, this is a general use of a doll.
Dolls are often made in particular colors to accomplish specific objectives. The color symbols generally accepted are:
RED - Love, Sex, Romance
BLACK - Hate Spells, curses, evil
GREEN - Money and luck, gambling
PINK - Success, attraction
YELLOW - Dispel evil forces & hexes
White - Peace, Tranquility
